To Integrate efforts of the International scientific community in discuss the theme and to know the advances in the area of knowledge and technology that contribute to the sustainable production of energy through agriculture and to the rational use of this renewable energy. Five macro area topics were considered: Technical, environmental and economical aspects, global trends and future research. Paper presentations, plenary discussion and poster sessions will be showing the most recent developments in biofuel.

The expectation of recent advancements in the area of knowledge is to maintain the world informed about the progress achieved about production and use of agricultural renewable energy from 1st and 2nd generation technology.

  • ECONOMICAL ASPECTS: Governmental policies; Countries actual and prospective scenarios, Sustainable biofuel production.
  • GLOBAL TRENDS: Potentials: national and international considerations; Certification; Sustainability; Life-cycle analyses.
  • FUTURE RESEARCH: Prospects for "second generation" feedstock technologies; Biofuel challenge and opportunities ahead.
